Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS), within the Mobility, Surveillance and Bomber Division, is currently hiring an Experienced Systems Engineer. This role supports the P-8 Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (SEIT) team based in Richardson, Texas.

The selected candidate will lead the RIO (Risk, Issue, and Opportunity) management process for Special Projects Dallas (SPD) programs and help improve project performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

As a Systems Engineer, your key duties will include:

Manage and lead the RIO management process for the SPD team.
Work with team members to create and update plans to mitigate risks and resolve issues.
Coordinate with program managers to ensure that the RIO process meets project requirements.
Develop performance metrics to track RIO progress and updates.
Maintain appropriate documentation related to RIO management.
Monitor program plans and technical challenges to effectively manage risks.
Train and mentor team members on appropriate RIO management practices.
Assist in system planning, design, and development using a collaborative approach.
Perform technical analysis to improve system performance.
Resolve technical issues across teams.

📍 Work Location:
This is a fully on-site position in Richardson, Texas. Remote work is not available.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or a related field.
*Minimum 3 years of experience in Systems Engineering.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

The following skills would be an added advantage:

Experience using Earned Value Management and RIO management tools.
At least 1 year of experience working in a fast-paced team environment.
Strong communication skills to communicate with leadership and clients.
Knowledge of RIO management tools such as BORIS.
PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.
Active Top Secret security clearance.

$119,850 – $162,150 per year:
