About Department:
York County Utilities Department operates water and sewer systems in Eastern and Western York County. The department manages a large infrastructure including water tanks, pump stations, sewer lines, and serves more than 20,000 customers.
Job Position:
Utilities Director (Full-time, Exempt). Responsible for planning, directing, and managing Utilities Department operations, staff supervision, project management, and long-term planning.
Key Duties:
• Manage water and sewer systems
• Supervise staff and projects
• Handle department budget
• Maintain legal compliance
• Oversee infrastructure projects
• Respond to emergencies
• Maintain communication with agencies
Work Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Hours may change based on operational needs.
Salary Range:
$124,105.68 – $192,338.64 per year Salary depends on qualifications.
Additional Information:
May require nights, weekends, holidays, and emergency duty. Work includes office duties, walking, standing, and computer use. Reasonable accommodation available under ADA rules.
