Full Job Description
Job Responsible for the safety, security, and maintenance of all activities related to special event programs. Responsible for the safety and security of staff, patrons, facilities, and event-related functions. Provides excellent customer service, including greeting customers, taking care of customer requests, and maintaining order during special events. During the event, will check restrooms for cleanliness and restock supplies as needed. Enforces agency rules and policies. Ensures that the facility is open and available at designated times, closes/locks the facility, and performs facility cleanup and trash pickup at the conclusion of the event. Assists other staff as needed. May take calls during the event, complete reports, and provide detailed information regarding special events and other agency activities. Must be available to work any and all special events.
Example of Duties Must be appropriately dressed and prepared to meet with the public and supervise events. Document any concerns or need for corrective actions. Supervise patrons, participants and officials and enforce all agency rules, policies and procedures. Responsible for keeping all areas securely locked except areas in use. Be alert, walk around the area in use as well as other areas accessible to patrons, monitor for and appropriately handle any such issues or potential issues. Ability to effectively interact with patrons, associates and the general public. Must be considerate of visitors and provide assistance to anyone who requires guidance. Ability to respond to emergencies such as accidents, altercations and ensure all conditions are in order following incidents. (i.e. trash picked up and disposed of properly, equipment returned to proper location, facility closed, note any damage or problems and notify supervisor.) Perform other related duties as required. Hours are dependent on activity schedule – maximum 29 hours per week.
